Reviews and Ratings
Our stay was pleasant with clean and modern rooms that provided a great level of comfort. The staff really enhanced our experience with their friendliness and willingness to help. Dining options were delightful, though the dessert selection left us wanting more. One downside was the noise from the pub during busy nights, which could be a bit distracting.
We had a wonderful overnight stay right next to the Greene King Brewery, which made for a unique experience. The rooms were decent and had everything we needed, but were on the smaller side. The atmosphere in the pub was lively, and although the food was delicious, the dessert options left something to be desired. Overall, a great place to stay, but there are areas that could use improvement.
I had a pleasant stay at this pub with rooms. The staff I interacted with were incredibly friendly and engaging, which really enhanced my visit. While I enjoyed a lovely meal upon arrival, the evening dining experience was somewhat inconsistent, as the food quality varied. The room was clean and tidy, but could use some updates, especially given the small size of room 4 compared to what's available across the hall. Overall, it's a good choice for exploring Bury St Edmunds, especially since it's conveniently located near local attractions.
Our stay was a mixed bag. The historic charm of the pub and the friendly staff created a pleasant atmosphere. However, the dining experience left much to be desired with slow service and disappointing food quality. The location was excellent for exploring the town, but the room could use some modernizing. Overall, there's potential here, but improvements are needed, especially in the kitchen.
My stay at this hotel was quite enjoyable overall. The rooms were spacious, modern, and well-maintained, contributing significantly to my comfort. The dining options exceeded my expectations, particularly the breakfast, which was delicious and had plenty of choices. However, there were some noise issues coming from the bar area and the kitchen, which detracted from the experience at times. Also, I did experience some wait time at the bar during busy evenings, but it didn’t ruin my overall enjoyment.
